Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Xenia Zawadzkas
Dr. Z grew up in Albuquerque, NM and went to NMSU for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, and also attended Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine for her small animal studies. Dr. Zawadzkas loves being a general practitioner. She enjoys getting to know clients and their companion animals, and finds developing plans to keep them healthy from puppies and kittens all the way through their senior years very rewarding. She enjoys educating clients about preventative care, promoting parasite prevention, and fighting the overpopulation problem by encouraging spaying and neutering. Dr. Z. also has an avid interest and years of experience in canine and feline dentistry.
Dr. Z. lives in Sumner with her husband and two daughters, their 11 chickens, and feisty cat, Sookie. When not being a vet, Dr. Z. enjoys spending time with her family and teaching art at her daughters’ elementary school. She also enjoys painting (especially pet portraits), music, knitting, and gardening. She is grateful to be able to so happily balance a work and home life.
